As 2017 draws to a close, I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas or just spending time with family and friends over the festive season. I spent the days following up to Christmas making ‘stained glass’ cookies (pictures down below!), pumpkin soup and a bûche de noël (yule log) to share for when family came over for a Christmas dinner. It was quite a bit of work on my behalf, but I do enjoy being busy and making something to be proud of! 🙂
This cake was one of the first cakes I made when I started baking, and remains one of my family’s favourites. As this cake is not too heavy or sweet, it really is a good tea time…or any time cake!
When I say easy, I really mean that this delicious apple pie is easy to make! Minimal fuss and a gorgeous golden coloured apple pie for sharing in a jiffy.
This cake is probably one of my favourite looking and tasting cakes that I’ve made, and it was easy to make!
A mini cake I baked for dad on Father’s Day! Not the fanciest cake but it tasted lovely and wasn’t difficult to make!
Nothing difficult to making this cake and what a delightfully fluffy and delicious cake it was!
We’re deep in the middle of winter here in Australia and while that means getting out of bed in the morning is super difficult, the cold weather is producing some beautiful lemons on my mum’s lemon tree! Apart from making some hot lemon tea to enjoy, I thought this the perfect opportunity to make a tarte au citron, also known as a lemon tart in English.
