Hello everyone and Happy Easter! I hope everyone is enjoying this extra long weekend with good company.

Many firsts happened with the making of this tart! It was the first time I have used key limes to making anything, and it was also the first time I used the grill setting on my oven! I can tell you I dithered a substantial amount over the idea before I plucked up enough nerve to slide my 99% done tart under it to brown the meringue but I think it came out splendid! 馃檪 Continue reading

Chocolate, raspberry and cream B没che de No毛l

As 2017 draws to a close, I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas or just spending time with family and friends over the festive season. I spent the days following up to Christmas making ‘stained glass’ cookies (pictures down below!), pumpkin soup and a b没che de no毛l (yule log) to share for when family came over for a Christmas dinner. It was quite a bit of work on my behalf, but I do enjoy being busy and making something to be proud of! 馃檪

Lemon Tart / Tarte au citron

We’re deep in the middle of winter here in Australia and while that means getting out of bed in the morning is super difficult, the cold weather is producing some beautiful lemons on my mum’s lemon tree! Apart from making some hot lemon tea to enjoy, I thought this the perfect opportunity to make a tarte au citron, also known as a lemon tart in English.
