As 2017 draws to a close, I hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas or just spending time with family and friends over the festive season. I spent the days following up to Christmas making ‘stained glass’ cookies (pictures down below!), pumpkin soup and a bûche de noël (yule log) to share for when family came over for a Christmas dinner. It was quite a bit of work on my behalf, but I do enjoy being busy and making something to be proud of! 🙂
This cake was one of the first cakes I made when I started baking, and remains one of my family’s favourites. As this cake is not too heavy or sweet, it really is a good tea time…or any time cake!
This post is about a month late, but better late than never right?
Another cake that was put together in about 15 minutes after coming home from work- all the sponge layers and cream had been prepared, but I wanted to keep everything as fresh as possible, and that included not assembling the cake overnight.
I made this for my sister’s birthday in December last year, cardboard ‘V’ and all made by yours truly! 🙂
This cake is probably one of my favourite looking and tasting cakes that I’ve made, and it was easy to make!
A mini cake I baked for dad on Father’s Day! Not the fanciest cake but it tasted lovely and wasn’t difficult to make!
Nothing difficult to making this cake and what a delightfully fluffy and delicious cake it was!
